For the past few weeks a film crew from Al Roker Productions has been out at the wreck site
filming on the J.B. Magruder and the Blue Water Rose for a one hour special which will air
sometime in February on TruTV. The film crew has been immensely enjoying their time
getting to know the personalities of our divers as well as the intricacies of treasure
hunting. They are beginning to see it takes incredible patience, very dedicated hard work
on the part of our crewmembers and captains and the true belief that the Sterncastle of the Atocha
and the remains of the Santa Margarita will be found TODAY. The excitement and optimism of our crews
are felt by the film crew and in turn has caused them to be just as excited to see what is in that next
hole. A member of the film crew has even said that he wants to become an investor, we would love to
have him on board! It is impossible to keep these guys on shore, they fear missing a moment of the
action and each time are eagerly waiting at the top of the ladder for a diver to yell "we found gold!"
Just this week the crew of the Blue Water Rose has found a silver candle stick, a gold ring as well as
another interesting artifact which has yet to be identified. It's clear they're onto something and the film
crew absolutely cannot wait to see what they uncover next and neither can we, Today's the Day!
The following pictures are snapshots of the film crew at work. Also included is a photograph of the candlestick
that was found on board the J.B. Magruder. There will be more pictures to come so check back shortly!
