Mel Fisher's legacy of optimism, perseverance and accomplishments are inspirations he
leaves for us all. His motto of "Today's The Day" has for many, transcended
treasure hunting and become a euphemism for motivating people into believing in themselves.
Often when Mel Fisher was asked why he did it, he would simply reply "For the fun,
the romance and the adventure". What he modestly meant was that he believed in a dream,
