Sunday September 4th, 2022 – *There is a separate fee for each events on this day – Limited seating - Must register online in advance 400th Commemoration of the 1622 Fleet Speakers Symposium – location Marriot Beachside Ballroom -- 8:00am – 4:00pm FEE $100 per person – seating limited to 300 capacity This ballroom usually has a capacity of 425 however we want to space the seats slightly farther apart to try and meet cdc recommendations, therefore the Seating capacity will be limited to 300 persons. There will be eight academic speakers about various aspects of the 1622 Fleet including its History, Salvage, Conservation, Archaeology, Environmental Challenges, Legal Aspects, Numismatics and one ‘just for fun’ presentation about the FUN ROMANCE, and ADVENTURE.
400th Commemoration Banquet Dinner – Marriot Beachside 6:30-9:30 pm Join us on the beach for a moonlight buffet. Enjoy one on one conversations with the speakers and Fisher family members. Fee $200 per person (cash bar not included)

-Book signing all day with 10 treasured authors
-Today’s the day to explore the rich history of Key West
TUESDAY Sept 6, 2022 – Public Event
-Time Capsule and Plaque Placement Ceremony- Meet at Mallory Square Flagpoles – TIME TO BE DETERMINED, announcements: City Officials and Fisher Family Members – double event to celebrate the founding of Key West by Porter (200 year anniversary) and to honor the souls lost in the shipwrecks of the 1622 Fleet and celebrate the recovery of the Atocha by Mel Fisher.
- Walking Parade from Mallory Square to Clinton Triangle Park for Ribbon cutting of improved park area surrounding the oldest Civil War Memorial in the U.S.A. and new landmark and Time Capsule and Plaque Placement- Plaque Presentation to City Manager (Need to discuss further with Key West Maritime Historical Society)
The Sunday event fees are to cover the cost of the event and any net funds from Sunday’s speaker symposium and banquet dinner will go to charity. Seating may be limited. Advanced payment and registration is necessary online.
