    of the Nuestra Senora de Atocha

    Today’s the Day to support the annual Mel Fisher Day’s Silent Auction Charity Event which will benefit the Wesley House Family Services of Monroe County and the Michael Abt Jr. Have a Heart Foundation.

    As you probably know, Wesley House is a nationally accredited not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children and strengthening families with programs and services that span all of Monroe County.  The Michael Abt Jr. Have a Heart Foundation is a 501-c-3 Florida charity that supports heart screenings on youth, awareness of sudden cardiac arrest in children, CPR training for those who work with youth, and placement of automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in schools.  All donations to either of these organizations are tax deductible.     400th Commemoration of the 1622 Fleet Speakers Symposium

     

    Location Marriot Beachside Ballroom -- 8:00am – 4:00pm FEE $75 per person – limited capacity. There will be eight academic speakers about various aspects of the 1622 Fleet including its History, Salvage, Conservation, Archaeology, Environmental Challenges, Legal Aspects, Numismatics and one ‘just for fun’ presentation  about the FUN ROMANCE, and ADVENTURE.

     

    400th Commemoration Banquet Dinner – Join the Fisher Family and Symposium Speakers for a feast. Marriot Beachside  6:30-9:30 pm  Join us on the beach for a moonlight dinner.  Enjoy one on one conversations with the speakers and Fisher family members.  FEE $175 per person (cash bar not included)

    • We are placing a memorial plaque honoring Mel Fisher and the lost souls of the 1622 Fleet shipwrecks - Ceremony to be attended by City Officials and Mel Fisher Family Members  – Tuesday,  September 6, 1622 Fleet Memorial Placement at Mallory Square at 10 AM 


  • The Sunday event fees are to cover the cost of the event and any net funds from Sunday’s speaker symposium and banquet dinner will go to charity.  Seating may be limited. Advanced payment and registration is necessary online.
